So the best thing EVER has happened – we got to see Nina Nesbitt performing LIVE!
Last Tuesday Sue and I, along with two other close friends, went to see Nina Nesbitt, who is an extremely talented female artist. She is only 19 years old and started writing music at a much younger age, and if you haven’t heard of her, I strongly recommend that you check her out, seriously, you won’t regret it.
I discovered her two and a half years ago when she started touring with Ed Sheeran; my sister showed me one of her songs (Only Love) and I fell in love straight away and soon became very obsessed with her music.
She recently released her first debut album, Peroxide (which is insanely good, I literally haven’t stopped listening since), and also announced her tour, which we were lucky enough to attend. 😀 😀
The best thing about the gig and her performance was that she smiled the whole way through, always acknowledging her fans in the crowd – she even came down at the end to hug the people at the front! She played each song perfectly and got everyone singing along, and when she played The Hardest Part, everyone remained silent (except for her and her guitar…obviously), as everyone was in awe of her amazing talent. Her music is also incredibly relatable to lots of people, which I think is why she is so popular, and the fact that are voice is just so hypnotic. Another thing that we still cannot quite process is that she actually spoke to us…SHE spoke to US!!! She noticed that we were holding up a turtle/tortoise (not sure which one it actually was), attached to a cat with an elastic band, and she saw it and we gave it to her. She said that it is ‘one of the best turtle cats she’s even seen’. And us four just broke down in shock and excitement and disbelief, and wow, it was such an incredible night.
If you have never heard of her, listen to her music now.
She is becoming incredibly successful at the moment, and will continue doing so. I just feel really proud watching her improve and her support grow, even though I don’t know her…We really hope that we can see her again soon, thank you for the best night ever 🙂
